Another newly designed space in our home! I’ve t Another newly designed space in our home! I’ve taken my time over the past (almost) 5 years putting together our home that still feels new. With each untouched room or bare wall, I intentionally think through a cohesive design that flows with the rest of the home. I know it may sound funny but I believe your walls and home should speak to you. Give it time to evolve. Don’t rush and impulse buy just to try to make a room feel “decorated.” I rearranged some existing furniture and then added some fun new accessories (oversized art and concrete stools) from @allmodern. One of my favorite places to shop for the modern, minimalist style I love, plus the bonus of shipping that arrives in days not weeks on available items. Now, this area that sits adjacent to our bar feels inviting and I love how it all turned out. The abstract art is subtle yet large in scale to make quite the statement without feeling overbearing. The stools will serve as extra seating and also can be pulled up next to a chair to set a drink. With the new year upon us I’m so eager to finish With the new year upon us I’m so eager to finish rooms in our home that have been neglected. This year is going to be one of entertaining and hosting exciting parties and gatherings. I have so much anticipation for all the memories to be made! Our family room in our lower level is a great space for entertaining and is a place we gravitate to when friends and family visit. I’m absolutely thrilled about this new seating area for playing games, putting puzzles together, and just a cozy inviting spot to gather. I found this beautiful pedestal table and gorgeous boucle chairs @allmodern that elevated our family room to chic and inviting. They arrived in days (not weeks!) with fast, free shipping. I’m already envisioning the next big party and am feeling good about having extra seating for guests. Farewell 2022, you were a good year! A little reca Farewell 2022, you were a good year! A little recap of the highlights: -Broke ground on two beautiful new homes I’ve had the privilege to fully design from the ground up. I feel so blessed to have the best clients who trust my vision. This is the year to see them complete and I’m so excited to continue sharing the journey! These homes are a true labor of love I’ve poured my self into and they are going to be so good! -Our oldest son got engaged in March to the girl I’ve prayed would be “the one” years before they knew. I gain a beautiful daughter in June and have been in heaven with all the wedding planning! -September, Celebrated 25 years of marriage to the love of my life in Charleston ❤️ -Started touring colleges as my “baby” graduates in May. We become empty nesters this year! Crazy!! Looking back at all the blessings of 2022. My heart is full of gratitude and I want to say thank you for following along, all the kind DM’s, and ❤️’s on my posts. I hope to inspire you more in 2023 as I continue to share my passion of design, and some snippets of life here and there. Wishing you all a bright 2023!
