A Roundup of Coastal Inspired Rugs + Featuring My Favorite Rugs At Our Beach Cottage

I have been spending a lot of time at our beach cottage lately and enjoying sprucing up a few rooms with mini makeovers. With every room refresh I love to start with a new rug. I always find the best rugs at Wayfair and love that they have so many style options, sizes and prices for every budget. I have rounded up some of my favorite coastal inspired rugs that are neutral in style and beautiful!

Our dining space is in a high traffic zone with doors that open up to the patio and pool and it’s the main pathway from one side of the house to the other. I needed a durable rug that was great for heavy foot traffic and also wet feet (and occasional sand) coming in from the pool or beach. I found this beautiful indoor/outdoor rug that checked all the boxes of practical, beautiful and affordable!

I love the pattern and the neutral colors are soft and so pretty. For size reference, I have the 7’10” x 10’rug which is the perfect size for a table that seats six. Rule of thumb when choosing a rug size is you want all the chairs to be sitting on the rug when pushed under the table and at least the front legs of the chair to still be on the rug when you are sitting at the table.

The next rug I want to show you is in our bedroom. It is the softest rug which is important to me when stepping out of bed. It’s available in 3 colors and multiple sizes. I have the gray/taupe color rug that has subtle hints of blue in it as well. I love that it is also stain resistant. This rug is so beautiful and would look great in a living room as well. It is on the thinner side so I would recommend a rug pad for a little cushion. It stays in place well and doesn’t bunch up which is very important to me.
