Pampas Christmas Tree
I’m excited to share with you my pampas Christmas tree in our dining room. It is probably one of my most favorite trees ever!

I have to admit I haven’t quite felt like brining all the tree ornaments out of storage and redoing what I’ve already done in years past. I also have been on a huge purge streak this year and don’t want to buy more “stuff” that will have to be stored 8 months out of the year. So as I was going through our home, editing it for a clean slate for the holidays, I grabbed these beautiful pampas grass stems I’ve had in our mudroom in a large vase all year and thought they would be interesting to try on the tree.
On a side note, I originally had all this pampas grass left over from an engagement party I held for my son and daughter in law. Little did I know at the time I’d be repurposing them on my Christmas tree over a year later.
Last year I didn’t decorate the tree in our dining room and was quite obsessed with the natural look and simple lights. I almost did the same this year, but I feared letting you all down with another year of no tree inspiration. Ahhh, the pressure!
This Christmas tree was so easy to decorate! I love how whimsical it turned out! I have about 30 pampas stems on mine which is 9 ft tall. The pampas are from Hobby Lobby in the wedding decor aisle. I went on a hunt and found these pampas grass stems (color beige/taupe) to add more throughout our home. They look almost identical to the ones I already have but an even better tone. I also added mini pinecone sprays (also from Hobby Lobby) for filler. The silver ornaments are old and I only placed a few on the tree just to add a little bling and fill some holes. I really wanted the pampas to be the eye catcher.
The best part of this Christmas tree is that when the season is over and its time to take it down, I can gather all the pampas grass together and put back in my large vase for decor in my home. That’s the kind of tree decor I like to invest in!
I hope this inspires you and helps you think creatively on how you’ll decorate your Christmas tree this year. If you get the pampas grass, I promise you will love it year round in your home for that organic look.
