Another exciting room reveal in our home and this time it’s our youngest son’s bedroom! I’ll call it the Tailored Blue Room. What started as a need for a new mattress turned into a full blown bedroom design. The only thought I had put into his room when we were building was the feature Hale Navy “lap siding” wall. When we moved into our home 15 months ago, other spaces in the home took priority. He was very patient. Actually, I think he was good with what he had, including the one tattered poster on his wall. I had other plans to make it look tailored and cozy with a more refined look filled with textural elements of leather, iron, wool and plaid.

Reality is that most room designs don’t come together all at once. As budget allows, the room evolves. We recently got him a new bed and mattress with the idea of finishing the space slowly. All room sources can be found HERE, but today I want to focus on featuring the beautiful furnishings from one of my favorite brands.

Arhaus has been a brand I’ve shopped and trusted for superb quality over the years. Their furniture is top of the line and has held up exceptionally in our home. They also carry a beautiful selection of lighting, rugs, and decor. I’m so excited to partner with them over the next few months!

His new bedroom has a tailored feel with layers of texture, comforts of plaid and scents of leather. Now if only it can stay this tidy!! Fingers crossed!

The white oak nightstands are part of the Bodhi collection from Arhaus. So gorgeous!  Hand crafted by skilled artisans built to stand the test of time.

The Edgerton lamp brings in the rustic industrial vibe. Made to look like forged iron with a natural rust patina. They make quite the statement.

My son’s biggest request for his bedroom was a sitting chair. I created this cozy reading nook with the Moxie leather chair. The black stainless steel frame feels so stout with a very chic approach. It comes in 8 different color options as well. I actually had my eye on this piece for a new living room space but once I put it in his bedroom it belonged here.

The Soraya pouf is a nice textural accent of wool and jute. I’m impressed by how “heavy” it is. Some poufs can be a little flimsy or lose their shape over time, but not this one.

I hope you enjoyed another room reveal of our home, The Forest Modern. I’m so happy to have been able to create a well designed, cozy bedroom for our son to enjoy through his high school years. All bedroom sources can be found HERE. I hope you take some time to shop my hand selected favorites from Arhaus below.

  1. Where is the fan from? Love the look of it. The room is so perfectly manly. Curious to know if all the bedrooms are carpeted and main living areas are not.

  2. Very nice room! I love the flooring! A question…My husband just recently passed and I am visiting my daughter for several months. I am wondering if you can give some information about the mattress you bought from Wayfair. We need a comfortable place for me to sleep and I have been researching mattresses. But, it is so confusing! Thank you.

    1. Hi Terri, thank you for the compliment! I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. My condolences. Mattresses are totally a personal preference. I recommend reading all the online reviews and making a decision from there for what will suit your needs best.

  3. Beautiful!! Your blog is so informative and inspiring. I especially love the Hale Navy shiplap wall. I am personally considering Benjamin Moore Hale Navy and also BM Newburyport. How did you decide on Hale Navy?

    Thank you, Amy
