Now more than ever I feel it’s so important to create beauty in our home since we are spending so much time staying in. I love to create a home that feels like a warm, welcome sanctuary. As I’m planning our Thanksgiving and looking into this new holiday season, I am taking a practical approach to everything I purchase. Styling with intent and finding beautiful, versatile pieces.
If you’ve followed along here for some time you know how I’m always finding beautiful new things from Walmart. Early in November I began setting the tone for our home’s winter look. This year I found some beautiful wood serving pieces from Walmart that I plan to use in all different ways. They have so many selections for your holiday home.
A decor staple for every home should be a beautiful large wood bowl. I love the large size and detail of this acacia wood bowl. Such a versatile piece that can be used with your holiday meal and also a decor statement. I have a feeling it’ll be my new favorite salad bowl or fruit bowl too!
This acacia wood cake stand is also another versatile piece that I can use on our Thanksgiving table and throughout the year. I love the idea of using it to add a layered look to a styled vignette. This frasier fir candle smells AMAAAAZING! Check out the long, linear wick that makes a crackle sound. Little details like that give your home such a warm, inviting presence.
I have so many uses for this beautiful wood tray. Those gold handles mixed with the natural organic feel of the wood is so good. I can style it on my coffee table, set up a charcuterie display, or serve holiday beverages. How pretty would it be on a kitchen island as well with that candle and some greenery. So many fun ideas!
I have been wanting black flatware for quite some time. I decided to give myself an early Christmas gift with this gorgeous black mirror flatware set. The mirror finish is so unique and is even dishwasher safe. That’s a must for me! I can’t wait to use these for Thanksgiving and also as a part of our every day use.
Last, I’d like to show you my typical set up for a holiday place setting. I always go with a square white plate. I actually use these plates every day. The square feels more modern and I also love how they look stacked on our floating shelves in the kitchen.
Doesn’t that black flatware look gorgeous?!!
I hope you will find your own special way to make Thanksgiving and this holiday season feel warm and full of love. Our gatherings may look a little different this year but you can still make your table and home feel special and beautiful for your own family.
