Winter Wonderland Christmas Home Tour: Kitchen, Butler’s Pantry and Dining Room

Welcome back to day 2 of our Winter Wonderland Christmas Home Tour!  Yesterday I shared our snow covered porches and our front entry/foyer. If you missed our first Christmas tour, you can see it HERE. Today, I’m giving you a tour of our dining room, kitchen and butler’s pantry. With a big sneak peek at our living room!

Our bold, black dining room is the perfect backdrop to any season but it’s especially beautiful with our flocked Christmas tree this year! Our kitchen has a Scandinavian, organic approach with the simplest nod to the holiday season. So without further ado, let’s tour!

Our flocked Christmas tree (unfortunately no longer available) has been decorated the exact same for the past 4 years. You’d think I’d be tired of it and want change but I still love how it looks so different in a new room every year. We brought this tree from our previous home, last year it was in our living room. The white flocking next to the black walls is DRAMA which I’m all about.

I layered the tree with ornament garland which is the easiest way to make a tree look ornate and full in no time. I wish I could source this exact ornament garland for you. I found it here a few years ago. This rose gold ornament garland is very similar. I also added large shatter proof ornament balls in a variety of glitter gold and silver. Again, a collection of old ornaments from over the years.

The bottlebrush trees are quite simple yet make a beautiful statement when grouped together. I’m loving the golden brown color against our black walls.  {paint color is Tricorn Black by Sherwin Williams}

Dining Room Sources: Sideboard and dining table from Restoration Hardware.

Our kitchen has more of a simple, Scandinavian approach with frosted pine garland in the window, organic wood accents and mini pine trees.

These twiggy pine trees look so realistic. I plan to keep them out all winter long. So that’ll be ’til June in our forest. Not even kidding! We have the longest winters here in Colorado Springs.

Here’s a glimpse of our living room. I’ll be sharing it tomorrow in greater detail. As you can see though, our home is styled simply with natural greenery and twinkly lights. That’s really all you need to feel the magic of the Christmas season in your home.

  1. Hi! Everything looks absolutely stunning! Thinking of biting the bullet and painting my dining room Tricorn black too 😅 what sheen did you do? Flat on walls and satin on baseboards? Or satin on the whole thing? Thanks in advance!

  2. I have been waiting on pins and needles to see your home decorated for the holidays….absolutely stunning! I didn’t think it could get any prettier but it did!
