Change is good every once in a while. If you’ve been here for some time then you may notice. I’m slow as a turtle making design decisions in my own home and will sit on an idea for months or even a year! I’ve become so intentional on what I buy for our home that often the idea of a new look paralyzes my progression. But once I’ve made the decision and bring in the new I appreciate the time I’ve allowed myself to think over what feels right and what that next layer of beauty will be.
I always say take your time and don’t rush good design. Let it evolve over weeks, months and even years if necessary and I promise you’ll be much happier with your decision than rushing it! Maybe all you need to do right now is rearrange the furniture to get a whole new look 🤍

Austin + Maddie wedding day 💕
A small glimpse of the absolute most beautiful wedding day!! After a full month of rain and gloomy days, God literally opened up the Colorado sky and shined the most gorgeous sunlight on Maddie and Austin for the ceremony and blessed us with a storybook sunset. Their love story is precious and evident of God’s sovereign plan over their lives. I cannot even put into words the joy I have for my son. He found his soulmate and I gained the daughter I’ve always prayed for. Welcome to the family Maddie girl! We LOVE YOU!!!!

Another newly designed space in our home! I’ve taken my time over the past (almost) 5 years putting together our home that still feels new. With each untouched room or bare wall, I intentionally think through a cohesive design that flows with the rest of the home. I know it may sound funny but I believe your walls and home should speak to you. Give it time to evolve. Don’t rush and impulse buy just to try to make a room feel “decorated.”
I rearranged some existing furniture and then added some fun new accessories (oversized art and concrete stools) from @allmodern. One of my favorite places to shop for the modern, minimalist style I love, plus the bonus of shipping that arrives in days not weeks on available items. Now, this area that sits adjacent to our bar feels inviting and I love how it all turned out. The abstract art is subtle yet large in scale to make quite the statement without feeling overbearing. The stools will serve as extra seating and also can be pulled up next to a chair to set a drink. I love it when design meets practical function.
